Ashley is the Director of Communications at the Holy Cross Foundation Rome, and a Professor of “Leadership & Communication” and "Media Training" at various universities in Rome. She began tour guiding during the Jubilee year of 2000.  She graduated in International Business and Marketing from the University of Dayton, Ohio, and holds a Masters in  Theology from Holy Apostles Seminary and an STL in Communications. She is now doing her PhD in Journalism and Communications at the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross (Santa Croce).  Ashley is also a journalist and voice-over artist. She speaks Italian, loves a good cappuccino, and especially sharing  Rome with everyone from Romaphiles to first time visitors of all ages.

John  is the Director of Christendom College's Rome program, where he is also a Professor of Art & Architecture and Theology. He brings a diverse academic background to the tour experience with a bachelors degree in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering, and a Master’s in Computer Engineering and Information Systems. John also worked for many years in the telecommunications industry leading the Technology and Initiatives Group at Verizon Global Telecommunications, before doing another Master’s in Philosophy and Theology.  Now he is working on a PhD in BioMedical Ethics at the Pontifical University of the Regina Apostolorum. Formerly a professional tap dancer, John loves to cut a rug with his wife and to teach ballroom dancing. John’s expertise in Church and Roman History enhances any tour experience!     

We were married in February of 2008, and are enjoying working, studying and living "la dolce vita" in bella Roma.  Our passion is to share our knowledge to help others know and appreciate the riches of Rome as much as we do!
